Toward a Biblical Theology of Friendship

How does one become a friend of God? In search of an answer, we turn first to the Scriptures, which as the Word of God, provides a roadmap. Friendship with God is a gift of Holy Wisdom (Wis 7:27). God speaks to Moses face to face as one speaks to a friend (Exod 33:11). And most striking of all these biblical examples, Jesus calls his own disciples, “friends” (John 15:14-5). You are invited to join the journey as we explore the biblical theology of friendship through a dynamic process that integrates personal experience with biblical study.

Audit “Toward a Biblical Theology of Friendship” with Sr. Laurie Brink, OP, professor of New Testament Studies, online asynchronously this fall. Together you will explore the biblical theology of friendship through a dynamic process that integrates personal experience with biblical study.
