Pope Francis has invited the Church to consider the call that many women feel to serve the People of God in the diaconal ministry. CTU and The Bernardin Center will continue a conversation begun here in Chicago last spring (when Discerning Deacons welcomed 500 Chicagoans to conversation at St. Barnabas) with a further discussion featuring Prof. Phyllis Zagano (Hofstra), a global leader in the conversation about women in the diaconate.  Prof. Zagano will be joined by CTU graduate Bernadette Raspante (Women’s Ordination Conference) and CTU’s director of the Center for the Study of Consecrated Life, Sr. Chioma Ahanihu, SLW in a conversation moderated by Deacon Vic Puscas (Diocese of Joliet), also a CTU graduate.  Join us and bring your own questions for the panel about this important question in this synodal time.
