From Lay Apostles to Missionary Disciples: Rev. Thomas A. Judge, CM and the Future of Catholic Laity
In celebration of the 100 th Anniversary of the Missionary Servants of the Most Holy Trinity (Trinity Missions), this presentation will compare the vision of the order’s founder, Father Thomas A. Judge, CM, “to make of every Catholic an apostle” with Pope Francis’ vision of a church that rather than clinging to its survival and institutional maintenance, goes forth as bands of missionary disciples “Evangelii Gaudium”. The Missionary Servants are a participating men’s religious community at CTU which serves as their English speaking theologate. They also staff the St. James Parish in the Bronzeville neighborhood of Chicago.
