What does ecology have to do with Pentecost? Why is Benedict XVI known as "The Green Pope"? How can Catholic Social Teaching and Catholic Environmental Ethics help us find our way in an environmentally threatened world?

Catholics believe that "In the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth..." (Gen. 1) And, at Mass they confess: "...I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth..." What are the implications of these statements of faith for who we are and for how we ought to live in today's world? Using St. Francis of Assisi--the Patron Saint of Ecology--as our guide, we will explore these themes of our faith.
