CTU alumna Sr. Luma Khudher, OP, gives a firsthand account of “The Situation of Christians in Iraq: Struggle and Hope.”  Though Christians in Iraq are considered to be one of the oldest continuous Christian communities in the world, reports note that hundreds of ancient Christian churches and places of worship have been destroyed by the self-proclaimed Islamic State throughout Iraq and Syria.  Millions have been forced to flee as refugees, and entire groups have been killed. Large Christian communities have also been emptied, putting an end to thousands of years of history.
