J. Cletus Kiley, D.Min

A native of Chicago, Kiley served for nearly a decade as executive director of the Secretariat for Priestly Life and Ministry, at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Ordained in 1974, Kiley has held a variety of ministerial and educational positions in the Archdiocese of Chicago including pastor St. Agnes of Bohemia parish, president of St. Joseph College Seminary and director of personnel. Kiley also serves in leadership positions for a number of non-profit organizations including the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation, S.O.S Children's Villages in Chicago, and the Center for the Protection of Workers' Rights. The Faith & Politics Institute, founded in 1991, is an interfaith, bipartisan organization located on Capitol Hill that provides opportunities for spiritual reflection for members of Congress and their staff through weekly small group discussions, retreats and pilgrimages. The Faith & Politics Institute has brought to Capitol Hill a combination of theological perspective, spiritual sensitivity and political experience.
